Travel Notes 26 Xixia-Laojun Cave

The near 100 steps of Laojun Cave are very steep and densely forested. The lush plants make you unable to see beyond a few meters ahead. This has cast a mysterious veil over the unexplored Laojun Cave.

Climb the steps, cross an archway and set foot on the plank road. It turns out that this place is also a canyon, and the bottom of the valley is a small stream road. Because of the branches and leaves, pedestrians on the plank road can only hear the sound of water but can't see the stream. On both sides of the stream are steep and green cliffs, and the plank road is built on the cliff on the left, in the green forest. Walking on the plank road, there are mossy boulders beside you. The stones here are absolutely different from those in Green Forest Mountain, which shows the boldness and boldness of northerners. Trees that are more than ten feet high and bowl-sized are born from this gap, and the trees at the bottom of the valley are even more spectacular. People also believe that such trees have become gods, tying their wishes with red ribbons and hanging them high on the branches and leaves.

Walking on the plank road for about 100 meters, you see a cave. Outside the cave is a house with rough bricks and wood. The door is protected by two winding stone carvings with dragons and pearls, and the "Sanqing Hall" is simply written in red paint. It is said that it is the place where Lao Tzu lived. It's actually a cave after going in. The cave is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, with smooth walls and stalactites hanging down like dragons' whiskers. This cave is neither too big nor too small. Four rooms and two halls, but if you really live here, it's too humid, and you must have arthritis.

Out of Lao Tzu's room, taking the plank road is all the way downhill. All the way down to the bottom, I finally saw the stream. The water is not deep and clear, and it passes slowly, as if I have lost track of time. There is a fish in the water. You can't see it when it is quiet, but it suddenly passes by when it is moving, and you don't know how to avoid people.

There is a pavilion where you can rest at the bottom of the valley. Next to the pavilion is the entrance to Qingniu Cave. It is called the longest cave in the Central Plains. It's really been a long time since I went in. I walked around inside for about 20 minutes.

It's cool in the cave, there's bat shit, and it smells bad. But the scenery is very impressive, and it is the best in this trip. There are lights of various colors in the cave to illuminate us, and countless stalagmites and stalactites are beautifully dressed. There are two classrooms in the wide part of the cave, and the narrow part needs to squat down and grope for progress. The stalactites in the cave are all named according to their shapes: "Laojun preaches", "Dinosaurs enter the mountains" and "Guanyin listens to the piano". There is a place called "Guanyin listening to the piano", which is not only shaped like a harp, but also sounds like a piano when struck by hand. This is very interesting. The tour guide said that the stalactites here 1cm only grew in 0/00 years, so I really want to break off a piece as a souvenir. I don't want to. The stone is hard and won't give me a chance to commit a crime. The underground river in the cave has clear water quality. I washed my hands, and the water was cold.

After leaving Qingniu Cave, somehow, I found myself on the right bank of the valley stream. Going back is going upstream, and the stream is artificially separated by a small pool, and the water will climb up the stairs. The water in the small pool is not very deep, and it is crystal clear. Fish swim underwater. Sometimes it rains lightly on the mountain, and sometimes it is sunny, which adds a lot of interest to our journey. At the end of the line is a waterfall, not very high, and snowflakes splash. Tourists take pictures here. There is a pool of water under the waterfall, and there are countless big tadpoles holding their tails quietly at the meeting.

When I left Laojun Cave, I looked back at the majestic statue of Laojun riding an ox in the mountains. I think this place is really great! (20 10-6)
