The origin of Huanglongxi

In the 24th year of Jian 'an (AD 2 16), Wuyang was still the land of Pengshan in Xinjin, Han Dynasty, and the east county (hua county) was bordered by the southeast. Renshou is also ivory. Huanglong used to belong to Wuyang, but now it belongs to the ruling territory. Therefore, it was named "Huanglongxi".

Huanglongxi town has always been a military town in the south of Chengdu, located in the southwest edge of Shuangliu County, Chengdu, with east longitude 103 58' and north latitude 3017'. The township is 42 kilometers away from Chengdu, only 30 minutes by car, 34 kilometers away from Shuangliu County and 28 kilometers away from Huayang Town.

The ancient folk town still retains the custom of ringing bells. When the gong is rung by the hour, it will ring from Shihai (9 pm) and once every hour until Shi Mao (5 am). A total of five clocks will ring, one will ring, the other will ring twice, and so on. In the dead of night, the crisp beat will make you sleep soundly.

Up to now, Huanglongxi still retains dragon lanterns, lion lanterns, ox lanterns, mother lanterns, the release party on the eighth day of April, the dragon boat race in Duanyang, and Fuhe trumpets, folk children's songs, nursery rhymes, proverbs, reed-breaking, somersaults and shuttlecock kicking, which have been handed down from generation to generation.

Huanglongxi town belongs to Shuangliu District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, with a history of more than 2 100 years. It is located in the south of Chengdu Plain. It is 40 kilometers away from the urban area, 35 kilometers away from Shuangliu District and 28 kilometers away from Huayang Street in Tianfu New District.

Huanglongxi town covers an area of 50.4 square kilometers and has a population of 30,000 (20 13).

Huanglongxi town is a tourist town dominated by tourism and based on agriculture, and it is also a national key town.
