How did Chongqing Liangping Shuangguitang come from?

Shuangguitang is a Buddhist temple, which was founded in the tenth year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (1653). Because there are two osmanthus trees in the temple, it is named "Shuangguitang".

The founder of the mountain was a monk who broke mountains and seas in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.

In the seventh year of Yongzheng (the tenth year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, 1653), Zen master Boshan Haiming, with the support of Yao Yulin, the "General Zuo Ming" of Nanming, one of the thirteen schools of Quidditch, built the Temple of Dharma and the Temple of Shuanggui.

After the completion of Shuangguitang, it was supported by the Qing emperor. From 1653 to 1926, Shuangguitang experienced seven generations of founders, including Broken Mountain and Bamboo Zen, and formed the scale of seven halls, eight halls and eight hospitals.

During the Republic of China, Shuanggui Hall was known as "the head of Sichuan jungle" and "the ancestral home of Zen in Southwest China" for its magnificent scale, solemn halls, rich Tibetan scriptures and unique sculptures.
