Is there a scientific basis for the Book of Changes?

When I mentioned "gossip" and "Book of Changes" before, I always thought that charlatans were swindling around on the grounds of "fortune telling". Later, I met a friend who knew the Book of Changes, and gradually got a new understanding of the Book of Changes and gossip.

As one of the oldest and most mysterious cultures in China, "Eight Diagrams" is said to be the work of ancient Fuxi. At that time, Fuxi observed the laws of natural changes and realized the truth applicable to all ages. He used a binary mathematical model similar to today's (with "one" for Yang, "one" for Yin, and three such symbols to form eight forms, called eight diagrams) to describe and record, and formed eight diagrams.

Later, the book of changes, a treasure of China, further explained the eight diagrams and put forward a systematic theory. I won't repeat the gossip (I really don't understand it, haha), and interested friends can learn it systematically.

I want to point out that although gossip has been used as a fortune-telling tool for thousands of years, it is by no means just a trick of charlatans. His profound philosophical thought "The Way to Simplicity" has always influenced the way of thinking of China people.

Bagua and Yijing have been well applied in philosophy and even in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, so one of the most prominent examples of the theory of "Yi Tong" is to use the images of Kan and Li to compare kidney and heart. Traditional Chinese medicine uses the five elements of "gold, water, wood, fire and earth" to refer to "lung, kidney, liver, heart and spleen" of the five internal organs respectively, and introduces the theory of "mutual growth and mutual resistance" of the five elements into TCM health preservation. The names of massage acupoints in traditional Chinese medicine are also named after gossip.

Nowadays, with the development of modern science and technology, the scientific knowledge contained in the Eight Diagrams and the Book of Changes has been more and more confirmed. As sons and daughters of China, it is necessary for us to re-examine the value of the Book of Changes and the Eight Diagrams, discard their dross, take their essence and carry forward Chinese studies.
