Dongan county is located at11059' ~1134', 26 07' ~ 26 52' north latitude, 83.86 kilometers long from north to south and 54.92 kilometers wide from east to west. Located in the southwest of Hunan, the upper reaches of Xiangjiang River, at the junction of Hunan and Guangxi provinces, it is under the jurisdiction of Yongzhou City and is known as the "gateway to southern Hunan". Xiang Ying County was located in the first year of Yongxi in the Western Jin Dynasty (290).
