Wang Chongwen (Gao Yuan) 14, a scholar in the Ming Dynasty, was a scholar at the age of 4, but he never got the provincial examination. After obtaining the provincial examination, he approached again. Afraid of losing his reputation in Sun Shan, he began to ask God for advice. One day, he was instructed by a Taoist priest. He went out in the middle of the night and went northwest. When he came to a ruined temple called Kuixingge, he didn't meet the noble people mentioned by the Taoist priest, but saw a crying beauty (Hong Chu), and then the beauty magically disappeared. Disappointed Wang Chongwen came home, a beauty fell from the sky, claiming to be Mei Niang, the daughter of the examiner after having obtained the provincial examination.
