Pingchao Town is located in the northern suburb of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, which is an open coastal city in China and "the first city in modern China". 1. Cao Gongting and Cao Ding Memorial Park

In A.D. 1557, the Japanese army invaded Tongzhou from Hong Kong again, and Cao Ding was ordered to resist the Japanese invasion and defeat the Japanese army. It was raining cats and dogs that day. Cao Ding led an army to pursue the defeated army and killed hundreds of people from Nantong City to Danjiadian (now Pingchao Town). Because of the rain and slippery roads, Cao Ding's war horse slipped and fell into the mud, and enemy soldiers swarmed in. Cao Ding was killed at the age of 44. In memory of Cao Ding, the local people built the Cao Gong Pavilion at the time of sacrifice (it is still there). Later, a bronze statue of Cao Gong was erected in the square in front of the original Pingchao bus station. 1996, during the reconstruction of the old city, Pingchao Town opened up nearly 200 square meters of land on the east side of National Highway 204, next to the TV relay station, and built the "Cao Ding Memorial Park", which moved the bronze statue of Cao Gong originally shaped in the square in front of Pingchao Bus Station to the south side of the park. The inscription of "Cao Ding Memorial Garden" is written vertically. In addition to the inscription and title, there are 400 words on the tablet, with the word ""at the beginning and "Li" at the bottom to show the national hero's indomitable spirit. The statue of Cao Gong is 4 meters high and the pedestal is 2 meters high. It embodies the unbreakable righteousness of the Chinese nation. At the beginning of June, Chen Huanyou (Pingchao), then secretary of the CPC jiangsu provincial party committee, wrote the name of the garden, made it into golden three-dimensional characters and posted it on the lintel. When you pass the flat tide section of National Highway 204, you can see the Cao Ding Memorial Garden at the southern end of the town. The ground is green, the trees are lush, the gates are antique and the statues are majestic, which reflects people's reverence for national heroes. This scene reminds you of a bloody battle in Cao Ding in the past, thus triggering your "nostalgia complex".
