1. Nanputuo Temple is located at the foot of Wulao Peak in the southeast of Xiamen City, Fujian Province, adjacent to Xiamen University and facing Bichenghai Port. The temple covers an area of 258,000 square meters with a building area of 2127,000 square meters. Founded in the late Tang Dynasty, it is called Sizhou Temple. Song Zhiping changed its name to Zhao Pu Temple. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the temple was abandoned and was not rebuilt until the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty.

2. Because it is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva, it is similar to Guanyin Dojo in Putuo Mountain, Zhejiang Province. It is named "Nanputuo Temple" in the south of Putuo Mountain and is one of the Buddhist resorts in southern Fujian. The most valuable things in the temple are the bloody book The Lotus Sutra and the famous white porcelain Guanyin in He Chaozong.

3. The main buildings on the central axis of Nanpu Sui Temple are the Heavenly King Hall, the Ursa Major Hall, the Great Compassion Hall and the Sutra Pavilion. There are bell and drum towers, meditation halls, living rooms and storage rooms on both sides, as well as Minnan Buddhist College and Buddhist Zheng Yang Hospital. There is a release pond in front of the temple and a newly-built "Taixu Master Memorial Tower" behind it. The whole temple is magnificent and orderly.

Nanputuo Temple is a key Buddhist temple in the Han area of China, the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural relics protection units in Fujian Province, and one of the eight scenic spots in Xiamen.

Nanpuyuan Temple faces south, facing the mountain and the sea. The scale is grand and the momentum is solemn. The main buildings on the central axis are the Heavenly King Hall, the Ursa Major Hall, the Le Tu Hall, the Great Compassion Hall and the Sutra Pavilion. Among them, the Heavenly King Hall is located at the forefront of the central axis of the hall, and the smiling Maitreya Buddha is enshrined in the center of the front hall.

On both sides stood four heavenly kings, glaring, and behind the temple stood the Wei Tuo Bodhisattva, which was magnificent. Temples and pavilions rise layer by layer along the mountain, with distinct layers and corresponding pitching. The cloisters rising in turn on the east and west sides protect the two sides of the three halls and make them a whole.
