Huosenji's Discovery Protection

Because of its long-standing reputation, Fashen Temple was a national second-class cultural relics protection unit in the 1950s and was listed as a provincial cultural relics protection unit in the 1960s. During the "Cultural Revolution", troops stationed in Faquan built houses and camps, temples were destroyed, and some grottoes were also protected, and later they were reduced to county-level cultural relics protection units. In recent years, leaders of cultural departments at higher levels have visited Fajin Temple for inspection and guidance many times. Under the care of leaders at all levels in provinces, cities and counties, 1988 established the leading group for the protection of cultural relics in Hosenji, Jingyuan County and the maintenance committee of Faquan Temple, with Zhang Yuxian in charge of the specific work. After eight years' efforts, 23 grottoes have been restored, including the Giant Buddha Hall, Five Dhyani Buddhas, Shifang Buddha Cave, Baxian Cave, Wuliangzu Cave, Hong Wen Pavilion, Yangyan Palace, Sanjiao Cave, Wangyao Cave, Dizang King Cave, Yunfeng Bridge and Shijue Pavilion, and new Lingxiao Hall, Shuxiang Pavilion, Zixuan Pavilion, Tianqiao, Shanmen and Lingtai have been built. Eight woodcarvings were received from Jiuhua Mountain and five jade buddhas were received from Myanmar. At the same time, statues of the founder of Dharma and two boys in the Tang Dynasty were unearthed, which are of great archaeological value. From 65438 to 0995, water was diverted into the temple, flowers and trees were planted, and the environment was optimized. On the whole, Huosenji has returned to its original appearance, and some buildings are even bigger than before. 1993, Fajin Temple was restored as a provincial cultural relics protection unit.
