The existing temples were donated by Governor Huguang during Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. It is the main building on the western hills. The main halls in the temple are all brick and wood structures, with double eaves and flying pavilions, red rafters and blue tiles, which are exquisite in craftsmanship and magnificent in momentum. This is a solemn and famous ancient temple.

Ezhou, known as Wuchang in ancient times, was the old capital of Wudong during the Three Kingdoms period. After sunrise, Jianye moved its capital here. There is a palace in Xishan for summer vacation, residence and political affairs, which is called Wu Wangxia Palace.

It was damaged several times after the war. Later, Hui Yuan monks took a fancy to this treasure trove of geomantic omen and turned the old base of the Summer Palace into Xishan Temple. In the late 1990s, the Summer Palace of the King of Wu on the top of the chair was relocated and rebuilt, which belonged to the antique building of the Han Dynasty and became a beautiful scenery in the Western Hills.

In addition, there are Song Fengting, Jiuqu Pavilion and other historical sites in Xishan. They are dotted in the green mountains and forests, adding a strong historical and cultural color to the western hills.
