Evolution of administrative divisions in Suiyang District

1950 In May, Chengguan District of Shangqiu County was changed to Shangqiu City at the county level.

195 1 August, Zhuji City and Shangqiu City merged into Shangqiu City, which governs Zhuji.

1997, Suiyang District was established in the former four towns of Shangqiu County, namely Chengguan Town, Guocun Town, Likou Town and songji town, and 12 Chengbei, Liuhe, Wangfen, Ma Le, Yanji, Loudian, Qiao Feng, Gaoxin, Wuqiang, Linhedian, Maogudui and Baogongmiao Township.
