In other words, whether you can get the status of a first-class scholar depends on your own will and heredity, and there are some things besides these two factors that belong to the category of "destiny".

The late Mr. An Gang, An Tian, who is famous for his eastern political philosophy and authority on character studies, said: "The Book of Changes is a knowledge that contains universal truth." China has studied the Book of Changes as the fundamental principle of nature since ancient times. People understand the importance of "fate" and try their best to explore the mystery of fate.

In addition to "fate", there is also an important factor that constitutes our life, that is, "good roots bear good results, and evil roots bear the consequences." In other words, thinking and actions based on thinking will become causes, thus producing corresponding results. It is called "the law of karma", which runs in parallel with the law of fate and flows in our lives.

Yuan really gave up studying medicine and embarked on the road of being an official. Incredibly, every time he ranked in the imperial examination, as the old man said, including later becoming a local governor, it was exactly the same as the old man's prediction.

After that, when Yuan Lefan was studying in imperial academy, he went to qixia temple to meet the famous Yungu Zen master, and they meditated together for three days.

"You are so young that you have no other ideas when you meditate. It's amazing. I have never seen a young man with such excellent meditation skills. Where on earth have you practiced? "

Jackson Yungu was very impressed. When Yuan Lefan answered, he mentioned the bearded old man he met when he was a child: "My life so far is exactly as the old man said, and I don't lack a penny. There are no children now, and they will die at the age of 53. Everything is destiny takes a hand, so I have no worries. "

When Jackson Yungu listened to Fan's words, he collapsed with a loud drink: "I thought you were an enlightened person, but I didn't expect you to be a big fool!" " "

Then, the Zen master said, "Although the old man told you your fate, it can be changed." Zen master explained the "law of karma", doing good things will have good results, and doing bad things will have bad results.

"Think it over, do it well! In this way, your life will definitely turn around. "

After listening to the words of the Zen master, Yuan Lefan woke up like a dream: "So I was wrong. In the future, I will do as the Zen master said, think well and do well. " He made up his mind to write down his merits and demerits every day, add one point for doing a good deed and subtract one point for doing a bad deed, and strive to do good deeds every day. As a result, Yuan Lefan lived to be seventy-three.

At the same time, it is said that some sons are impossible to be born. Yuan Lefan told his children, "Before I met Jackson Yungu, my life followed my destiny. However, after that, I changed my mind and tried my best to do good. As a result, you were born who could not have been born. I should have died at the age of fifty-three, and now I am still so healthy at the age of seventy. Son, it turns out that life can be changed. Just stick to doing good deeds. "

Man's "destiny" is fixed and will not change because of our will. But on the other hand, the "law of karma" flowing in parallel with "fate" is not. Using this law, we can even change the established "destiny", which can be called "making a living". If so, we can change our destiny. I think we should use the law of karma more effectively.

But in modern society, no one believes that life is so simple and bright because of the combination of "fate" and "law of cause and effect". Why? First, there is prejudice against "fate" and "law of cause and effect". The fate beyond human intelligence cannot be explained by science. Therefore, intellectuals, especially the so-called elite, are somewhat knowledgeable and often regard "fate" as superstition. In addition, the popular saying of "the law of karma" is "doing bad things will be rewarded!" This seems to be deceiving children, and it is a convenient term for uneducated people to scare children.

The more important reason is that it is difficult to prove the correctness of "fate" and "law of karma". We don't know what fate is. Doing good will have good results, and it is difficult to show it in a clear form. Why?

As mentioned above, life is a combination of "fate" and "law of karma", which is the truth.

For example, in a particularly bad time, even doing a little good is not enough to make things better; On the contrary, in a very good time, even if you do something bad, because of good luck, bad results will not come out for a while. So some people can't figure out "how can a guy who did that kind of bad thing live so happily?"

I heard that there is another thing: someone asked a "psychic" to tell his friend's fortune, and heard this passage: "Your friend met with great bad luck this year. He would have been seriously ill, but he was safe and sound. This man must have done something great in recent years. If this is not the case, health and career can't be so smooth during such a poor fortune. "

That's it. "Fate" and "law of karma" are like the double helix shape of DNA, which are intricately intertwined, unlike "1+ 1=2".

Because it is a bit complicated, life consists of two elements: fate and the law of karma, which can overcome fate and change life. No one wants to believe this fact.
