1July 1948 to1April 1957, after the second liberation, the village was the residence of Jibei county government.

The Qing-guang edition of Ji Ning Zhi, a captain of Zhili, contains: "Twenty Li Pu in Youyou Township", which is a village. This village was originally named Xu Long Store before the Ming Dynasty. In ancient times, it was set in an important official road, Shili, as a post station for transmitting documents and information. In the Qing Dynasty, the village was changed to Shilipu because it was 20 Li away from Jining City and once set up a post station, which is still in use today.
