I organized a band when I was a student. 1976, I released my first English album, Lam, and then released many Cantonese albums. He has also made many films, including Go to the Angry Sea, Owl and Dumbo, and Three-person World. 1983 was nominated as the best actor in the second Hong Kong Film Awards for his superb performance in the movie "Going to the Angry Sea". He left without regret. He also co-produced TV series "It's not that friends don't get together" and "Four Seasons" with Wang Mingquan on TVB. His style is low-key (once called "Song Yin"), giving people a feeling of reticence. What impressed me the most was his beard (it began to grow in 1976).

1980 won two Golden Melody Awards in the Top Ten Golden Melody Awards Concert of the 3rd Chinese Golden Melody Awards with two songs "In the middle of the water" and "I need you in minutes", and became the big winner of that year. George Lam won the "Golden Needle Award, the highest honor in Hong Kong Music" at the17th "Top Ten Golden Melody Awards Concert" held by Radio Television Hong Kong 1994. In 2003, George Lam won the Cash Music Achievement Award, the first singer to win this honor.
