What festival is February 13?

February 13 is World Radio Day. The establishment of World Radio Day aims to publicize the important role of radio as a communication carrier in promoting the development of education, information dissemination and the release of major information on natural disasters.

Radio is the most popular mass media in the world, and 95% of the global population can receive radio signals. Because of its low cost and wide coverage, it also plays an irreplaceable role in emergency communication and disaster relief. In order to attract people's attention to the unique value of radio, UNESCO launched this activity, calling on all national authorities, media organizations and the public to celebrate this festival together, and urging national authorities to further use radio to provide information acquisition and dissemination services.
