She and her partner Tong Jian are silver medalists in the 20 10 Olympic Games, world champions in 2006 and 20 10, four-time champions in four continents (in 2002, 2004, 2008 & amp2009) and grand prix finals in 2008.

Pang was born in Harbin, the hometown of double skating in China. She started skating at the age of six. She first took part in a solo skating competition. On 1993, coach Yao Bin arranged her and Tong together, and they have been skating together ever since.

When Yao moved to Beijing, Pang and Tong trained without a coach. It was not until 1997 that they resumed training under Yao's guidance.
