How to prevent sweaters from being eaten by insects

Moths are very small, usually 2-3 mm long. Most of them overwinter as larvae in one year, pupate in the following spring, and pupate into adults in April and May. Adults lay eggs after mating, and the larvae hatched in about 15 days are harmful to wood or fur. They are important pests in agriculture, forestry, wood decoration, furniture, wood carving, Buddha statue and leather clothing.

The ways to prevent moths are as follows:

1. After cleaning the dirty sweater, first wipe off the oil stains on the neckline and cuffs with alcohol, and then put it in the microwave oven for a few minutes to kill all the mold. After such treatment, the collected sweaters are not easy to be moldy or eaten by insects;

2. Decontamination and dust removal before collection, and then put it in a cool and ventilated place to dry, and it is best to iron it before collection to prevent moth breeding and achieve the purpose of killing insects and sterilizing;

3. Hang it in the closet with a hanger. If there is no hanging condition, wrap it in cloth and put it on the top of the suitcase. Keep the reverse side outward as far as possible when storing, which can not only prevent weathering and fading, but also prevent moisture;

4, sweaters should be stored in a ventilated place, and according to the seasonal changes and the length of storage time, take out clothes in time to dry several times. Long-term sealing and ventilation are the main reasons for insect eating.
