Fortune Telling Collection - Ziwei fortune-telling - You can't just worship Sanqing.

You can't just worship Sanqing.

You can't just worship Sanqing.

You can't just worship Sanqing. Customs are handed down in awe, and worship is a way to make people's hearts have sustenance. However, some things can't be worshipped casually, and some are taboo. Let's talk about not worshipping Sanqing casually, hoping to help everyone.

We can't just worship Sanqing 1 the immortal belief in China. If Buddhism is abandoned, the rest should be Taoist gods and secular gods. Although there is some overlap between Taoist gods and secular gods, such as the folk kitchen god or the name of the kitchen god, the full name in the Taoist immortal system is "Ding Shenfu, Wang Yuan, the four Ming tombs in the East Chu". From the specific point of view of many gods, Taoist gods and secular gods are still very different. In fact, the folk belief in immortals is just a "secular god".

So what is a secular god? It is mainly the immortal belief formed by people's gratitude for everything and worship of nature in production and life. For example, well god, earth god, kitchen god, god of wealth, river god and so on, as well as natural wind god, rain god, mountain god and so on. In other words, people can touch everything they see and feel. This folk belief in immortals is much earlier than the formation of Taoist immortals. Generally speaking, before Zhang Daoling founded Taoism in the Eastern Han Dynasty, all famous immortals could be regarded as secular gods.

What is introduced above is a kind of secular immortals, and another kind that has to be mentioned is the book "Fairy Romance". The author combined many fairy tales circulated among the people with the story that King Wu cut down Jiang Ziya's worship of God, and formed 365 gods in three realms of heaven and earth. Influenced by the deification story, this god on the deification list can now be regarded as a folk secular god, which has been recognized and believed by the people.

After talking about the secular god, let's talk about the "Taoist God". Have you noticed a phenomenon? For Taoist gods, even the familiar Taoist gods such as Sanqing, Yusi and Wulao are rarely enshrined at home, which is actually the difference between Taoist gods and secular gods. Taoist gods basically exist in temples and palaces, and it is difficult to have sacrifices in folk houses. If you have to find a reason to explain this reason, it is "the world is not worthy." Even if the god worshipped by every family during the New Year is considered to be the Jade Emperor, it will be sent away on New Year's Eve.

Among many Taoist gods, they can be roughly divided into pre-gods (three clean-ups and five old behaviors); Administer the three gods (Jade Emperor, Thick Earth Queen, Four Emperors, Three Official Emperors, etc.). ); Acting as an agent to manage gods (such as Wei Zi, Tan Xuanzhen, Emperor Wu Yue, etc.). ). In addition, after the formation of Taoism, the immortals in the religious field, such as the four real people, the four heavenly teachers, the San Mao Zhen Jun, the five ancestors and the seven true people, are all immortals from the world.

Generally speaking, the difference between secular gods and Taoist gods is that the names of secular gods are mostly used by the people, which is the most clear and direct. The full name of Taoist gods is more religious, such as the Jade Emperor, and Taoism is called "the king of the mysterious gods of Haotian Jinque Jade Emperor"; Or folks call it the God of Wealth. In Taoism, Zhao Gongming is called "the true king of the Dragon and Tiger Altars". These examples are too numerous to mention. Folk people can't believe in Taoist gods, unless there is a counterpart in the secular gods, and they directly worship Sanqing, Yusi, Wusha, and even the three officials, Wuyue and Zhenwu Emperor. Eliminating superstitious views is still because these gods are too far away from us and their status is too high for human beings to reach.

You can't just worship Sanqing. There is a powerful and lofty Zhenyuan in the novel The Journey to the West, who is called the ancestor of immortals.

Zhenyuanzi was so powerful that even a man like the Monkey King was killed by Gan Kun in his sleeve.

Zhenyuanzi's personality is so arrogant that he doesn't even worship the high-ranking Sanqing Taoist priest. In Taoist temple, he only worships heaven and earth.

Yue Ming, an apprentice of Zhenyuanzi, told the Buddhist scripture team: Sanqing is a friend of the mentor, the fourth brother is an old friend of the mentor, Jiuyao is the mentor's junior, and Chen Yuan is the mentor's guest.

The breeze and the bright moon said that the top Taoist fairy is either a friend of Zhenyuanzi or his junior. If that's the case, Zhenyuanzi certainly doesn't have to worship Taoist immortals.

However, is this really consistent with the original facts?

In the original work, we can easily find a doubt: Zhen Yuanzi did not worship Sanqing, claiming to be an equal with Sanqing, but Yuanshi Tianzun used a simple post to make him obey orders.

The Buddhist scripture team came to Wuzhuangguan, where they were received by disciple Qingfeng, while Zhenyuanzi went to the Luo Palace in Shangqing to listen to the Daoist Kingdom of Hunyuan. Supposedly, Zhen Yuanzi should personally collect Buddhist scriptures, because the Tang Priest offered tea to Zhen Yuanzi when he was a disciple of the Tathagata, and they were old friends. Zhenyuanzi also remembered the kindness of Tang Priest, so he learned that the Buddhist scripture team was coming, specially arranged the breeze and bright moon to take care of him, and prepared ginseng fruit to entertain guests.

Even the ginseng fruit is taken out to entertain Tang Priest, which shows that Zhenyuanzi attaches great importance to Tang Priest. So, why didn't Zhenyuanzi entertain Tang Priest himself?

According to the original records, Zhenyuanzi said to his disciples, "Don't disobey the message of the Buddha. You should go to Milo Palace for a lecture. You two should be careful at home. An old friend will pass by in a few days, but don't neglect him. "

It turns out that Yuanshi Tianzun sent a simple post asking Makoto to attend classes at Miro Palace. Zhenyuanzi didn't dare to go against the simple sticker of Yuanshi Tianzun. It's like the headmaster's notice calling a student to attend an important training class. Students never dare to ask for leave or skip classes, even if there are important guests at home that day.

Obviously, Zhenyuanzi and Yuanshi Tianzun are not equal friends. Yuan Shi Tian Zun is next, Zhen Ziyuan is next. In fact, Makoto privately agrees with this relationship, so he called Yuanshi Tianzun "Da Tianzun".

However, why didn't Zhen Yuanzi worship the original Buddha and other Sanqing?

I think Zhen Yuanzi is a bit sour grapes.

In the mythical world, immortals are hierarchical, and above them, there is another immortal. Although Zhenyuanzi is the ancestor of immortals, he is also immortal, so he can't be compared with immortals. The ancestors of immortals are immortal, and the heads of chickens are phoenix tails. But Zhenyuanzi has high mana and strength far above many immortals. But the status of heaven is far less than theirs, and it is inevitable that he will have emotions in his heart.

Zhenyuanzi is a Taoist immortal. The Jade Emperor didn't like him, and Sanqing didn't speak for him. Over time, he has a sour grape mentality: you don't like me, I still look down on you! So in a rage, he simply refused to worship any Taoist gods, including Sanqing, showing great pride.

This kind of self-pride, which is deliberately displayed, is inevitably affected. In the original work, there is a couplet on the gate of Wuzhuang Temple: Immortal House, sharing life with heaven. The Monkey King saw this couplet and sneered, "This Taoist is bluffing. My grandson had never seen this on the head of the old gentleman's house when he made a scene in the Heavenly Palace 500 years ago! "

Zhen Yuanzi is a Taoist immortal after all. No matter how boastful he is, he can't be the ancestor of the old man in the big aisle. Everything you learned in Zhenyuanzi was founded by Daozu. To put it bluntly, it is to learn the wisdom of Daozu. Why do you want to compare with Daozu? Even in front of Daozu, there is no couplet with the same fate as Heaven, but Youzhen Yuanzi posted such a couplet. If not affectation, what is it?

The more pretentious Zhen Yuanzi is, the more hypocritical and lofty he is, which is a manifestation of sour grapes. At the same time, he hopes that this kind of performance art can attract the attention of heaven. Therefore, in the deep heart of Zhenyuanzi, he is still very eager to be recognized by Sanqing and Tiandao. Because of this, the Buddha in the early Yuan Dynasty wrote a simple post, and he couldn't wait to get to Milo Palace, even the Tang Priest didn't bother to entertain him.
