A Brief Introduction to the English Film Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is the most difficult film to comment on, but it is also the most worth seeing. It has been three weeks since I showed Steven Allan Spielberg's emotional tragedy about a robot boy. Before writing my comment, I want to let its theme, content and characters go deep into my mind and have a solid impact. The film was based on an idea of stanley kubrick, but after his death in 1999, Spielberg took charge of the project. I can use a few pages to discuss Kubrick's intentions and Spielberg's decision, but I won't. Stanley kubrick and Steven Allan Spielberg are the two greatest directors in American film history; It is a pure pleasure to watch their thoughts collide and flow. I'm not going to study every single topic here either. That will ruin your movie.

"Artificial intelligence" presents many themes on the screen, but what matters is what you get from it. Whenever I read the comments on Kubrick's clockwork orange or 200 1: A Space Odyssey, I feel influenced by the critics' understanding of the movie theme. Every time I watch either of these two movies, I get something new from them. I hate it when other critics write the theme of the film on paper as if it were true. There is too much room for interpretation to reveal the information of this film, or any Kubrick film. Ask 100 people, and you may get 100 different answers. AI-Artificial Intelligence is that kind of movie-one of the best of the year.

Critics and audiences have torn the ending of the film to pieces-this is obviously Spielberg's miscalculation. If Kubrick was in charge, the film would have stopped the disturbing scene in the ocean about 20 minutes ago. However, Spielberg, who always seems to be fascinated by science fiction, has injected an extra part into this combination, which is not very useful, but it is not completely bad enough to deserve such severe criticism. It still left us with an open and shocking emotional loss. I left the theatre in tears. The film was so complicated and touching before the end, and involved many different aspects. The last 20 minutes didn't even come close to ruining my film.

"Ai" will appear sometime in the near future after the polar ice sheet melts, inundates coastal cities and reduces natural resources. Mechanical robots have become popular because they don't need goods. Reproduction has also become very illegal. Machines provide sexual services, and if someone wants children, they will buy robots. However, the difference between a robot child and a living child is that robots can't love. This is the task that Professor Hobby (william hurt) of Cyber Electronics Manufacturing Company has solved. He made a robot child who could love.

We can divide "AI" into two independent segments. I don't want to reveal too much about each plot, because the fun of watching this movie comes from revealing the relevant plots. However, I will briefly say that the first part describes the interaction of a robot child in a family in detail, and the second part tells the alienation of the robot from its family and the pursuit of regaining maternal love.

You can imagine the material in Kubrick's hand. The opening scene of this movie is that a female robot begins to undress in a public office. Spielberg cut back before she exposed any obvious nudity. Kubrick will have all kinds of naked shots on the front. Spielberg never liked sexual materials, and he ignored the motivation behind Kubrick's idea. One of the biggest problems of Artificial Intelligence is the lack of combination with sexual content. Jude Law plays a robot dancer. He lives in a sexual fantasy world called "Rouge City", where people from all over the world come to seek sexual satisfaction. The protagonist is a robot boy played by haley joel osment, who pushes every action in the story, except the scene in Rouge City. Why do you want to include such an abnormal role and background, and his whole existence implies a well-established emotion. Obviously, filmmakers played down all aspects of "artificial intelligence" to ensure a PG- 13 rating without courage-but why? This film is not suitable for children, and it is too complicated. There is no doubt that if Kubrick takes power, "artificial intelligence" will have to be cut again to avoid NC- 17 rating. Spielberg should either use this abnormal material or completely eliminate it.

I'm here, doing what I said I wouldn't do, nearly 900 words, and I still haven't clearly expressed my views on the film. I have many notes in front of me, showing my reaction when I watched the film, but I won't use them-they reveal too much information about the film. "Artificial Intelligence" is a very personal film, which is touching, scientific, meticulous and distressing, showing amazing talents on the screen and behind the scenes. Special effects are extraordinary. These performances are shocking-the talented haley joel osment may be nominated for an Oscar again. Go to the movies and talk about it with others. This is the kind of movie that you can spend hours thinking about and then watch again.
