Xiushui county, a county under the jurisdiction of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, was called "Fenning" in ancient times and enjoyed a high reputation in national history. It is located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province, the west of Jiujiang City, the upper reaches of Hexiu, and between the Mufu Mountain and the Jiuling Mountain Range. It is the junction of three provinces and nine counties.

Xiushui is a typical mountainous county, mainly in mountainous areas. Known as "eight mountains and half water fields are divided into manors halfway". Surrounded by mountains, there are shogunate mountains in the north and Jiuling mountains in the south, all of which run northeast and southwest. From the periphery to the center are Zhongshan, low mountains, hills and river valleys.
