Can Clivia use sand?

Clivia can be planted in sandy soil, but generally speaking, loose and breathable organic matter is the best. In most cases, it is nutrient soil made of rotten leaves, pine needles and a small amount of river sand carbon residue.

Clivia is a fleshy root, and the root is relatively fat. In general, organic soil is chosen. This soil is not only fertile, but also breathable and sour. Clivia grows well in this soil. Because the air humidity in the south is high and there is a lot of rain, soil with better air permeability is needed, so when mixing soil, there should be more particles and less plants with better water retention. The situation in the north is just the opposite.

The core of Clivia soil is that the root system of Clivia grows well in the soil with excellent air permeability, water permeability and water retention, but in the soil with poor air permeability, water permeability and water retention, the root system development is limited and the growth will be affected. Therefore, in order to make Clivia grow healthily, we must always give excellent soil conditions for root growth and development, that is, fat and loose nutrient soil.
