Where is Baihua Garden?

Xinyang Baihua Garden is located in the core area of Yangshan New District, Xinyang City.

Baihua Garden covers an area of 201.700m2, with a green rate of 70.2% and a green coverage rate of 83%. More than 500,000 plants are planted in Baihua Garden, including 268 ornamental plants such as peony, tulip and camellia, which is an important window to show the charming image of Xinyang.

The construction of Baihua Garden landscape engineering emphasizes "understanding, respecting and protecting nature". While protecting the ecological environment, saving land resources and planning scientifically, we should refer to modern urban landscape design methods to fully reflect the characteristics of the combination of flowers and gardens. It is the only large-scale urban public open space with flowers as the theme in the world, a window reflecting Xinyang's historical culture and modern spiritual outlook, and a good place for the general public to travel, see and entertain.

Park layout:

The layout of Baihua Garden is "one core, two axes, four phases and twelve gardens". "One core" is the "window" in the center of Baihua Garden, which is patchwork and extends in all directions. This "window" of modern fashion means that Xinyang people look at the world and go to the world, and also expect the world to know Xinyang and enter Xinyang; The red color of the "window" indicates that Xinyang, a red city, will always maintain its revolutionary nature, and the transparency of the "window" indicates that the green Xinyang is welcoming colorful.

The "two axes", that is, the century cultural axis and the north-south landscape axis in the center of the park, are the main scenic spots to guide the flow of people. The east-west axis symbolizes the geographical dividing line between north and south of China, indicating that Xinyang is located on the "Qinling-Huaihe" geographical dividing line between north and south of China. The "four phases" are the green valley flower border, the green wild flower street, the colorful green embankment and the colorful flower sea, which correspond to the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter to create a hundred flowers scenery.

"Twelve Gardens" refers to the formation of twelve theme flower gardens according to the different flowering periods of plants. Corresponding to the Twelve Hua Xian, each theme flower is equipped with flowers similar to its own season, creating a beautiful scene of blooming every day and enjoying flowers every month. Namely, January Mountain Tea Garden, February Spring Garden, March Rhododendron Garden, April Peony Garden, May Rose Garden, June Ziwei Garden, July Furong Garden, August Osmanthus Garden, September Chrysanthemum Garden, October Furong Garden, November Hongfeng Garden and December Mela Garden.

There is a zero landmark in the center of the central axis of Baihua Garden, which is the starting point of Xinyang's "zero kilometer" traffic and the basic point to measure the distance between Xinyang and the rest of the world. Below the zero landmark is the Centennial Underground Palace.
