Chaohu Lake Scenic Area is an important regional ecological foundation of world-class urban agglomerations in the Yangtze River Delta. It is a comprehensive super-large national park with the vast waterscape of Chaohu Lake as the background, the relatively primitive lakeshore environment as the basis, lake island, forest and bay mouth as the natural landscape features, nest culture and typical polder scenery as the resource elements, and integrating landscape appreciation, environmental protection, sports experience, popular science research, leisure and entertainment, and tourism.

Chaohu Lake Scenic Area covers a vast area, including part of the land in five districts (cities) and counties of Chaohu City, Feidong County, Feixi County, Baohe District and Lujiang County. * * * It is divided into ten scenic spots, including Sanhe Ancient Town Scenic Spot (AAAAA Scenic Spot), Zhongmiao-Laoshan Island Scenic Spot, Niu Jiao Dawei Scenic Spot, Binhu Wetland Forest Park, Wang Qiao-Ziwei Cave Scenic Spot, Yinpingshan Scenic Spot and Guigui Scenic Spot.

The ancient names of Sanhe Ancient Town are Quezhu, Quewei (Zhu Zhu) and Quean. It is a famous historical and cultural town in China, one of the four ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. Located at the southern end of Feixi County, Hefei City, Anhui Province, at the junction of Feixi, Lujiang and Shucheng counties. Fengle River, Hangbu River and Xiaonan River meet here and flow eastward through Xinhe River about 15km to Chaohu Lake.

Sanhe Ancient Town, with a total area of 2.9 square kilometers, has ancient city walls, ancient forts, the former site of Taiping Army Command, Yingwangfu, Yiren Lane, Wanniantai, Lifu Granary, He Lu, Liutong xinglong village, Yang Zhenning's former residence, Sun Liren's former residence, Dong Yinchu's life story exhibition hall, Dafu, Sanxian Bridge, Wang Yue Bridge, Wang Yueting, Quezhu Covered Bridge, and "Eight Ancient Stories".

Sanhe ancient town was originally a high continent in Chaohu Lake, and gradually became land due to sediment deposition. In the late Northern and Southern Dynasties, it was called Sanchahe, and sanhe town was established in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The snacks and local dishes in Sanhe ancient town are also famous and distinctive, including zongzi, candied skin, crisp sugar, maltose, dry tea and rice wine. Sanhe is also the hometown of the famous Fu Guang Koubei.

Laoshan Island is located in the middle of Chaohu Lake, Chaohu City, Hefei City, Anhui Province. It is the largest island in the lake, with an oval terrain, a perimeter of about four kilometers, an area of 1 square kilometer and an altitude of1/5 meters. Known for its magical, beautiful and unparalleled ecological environment, it is the core scenic spot of Chaohu Lake tourist area and a famous tourist area in central Anhui.

Laoshan Island is located in the southwest of Zhongmiao Town, in Chaohu Lake, one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China. The terrain is oval, with lush trees and evergreen seasons, such as green snails floating. Laoshan Mountain is surrounded by water, just like a leaf floating in the water. It is the only "oasis on the lake" in the 800-mile Chaohu Lake, the first scene of Chaohu Lake. According to legend, when Jiao Lao was trapped in Chaozhou, he was swallowed up by the flood to save his neighbors and turned into a mountain, which was later called "Laoshan".

From February, 2065438 to February, 2006, according to the National Standards for Classification and Evaluation of Quality Grades of Tourist Attractions and the Measures for the Administration of Quality Grades of Tourist Attractions, recommended by the relevant municipal quality grading agencies and organized by the Anhui Provincial Tourist Attractions Quality Grading Committee, it is planned to evaluate the Zhongmiao Laoshan Island Scenic Spot in Hefei as a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
