Cosmetic Contact Lenses tells the story of three women. Three women are actually different stages of the same woman. The girlhood stage is represented by a little girl who dreams of going to Shanghai, the young woman stage is represented by a female teacher in a county middle school who is ready to get married, and the old woman stage is represented by a Shaoxing opera actor who is ready to divorce. The whole film is divided into three parts according to the age order, which tell the stories that happened to three women respectively. The little girl in the mountain village wanted to go to Shanghai with her boyfriend, but she was finally left behind by her boyfriend. Middle school female teachers miss their first boyfriend in Shanghai, but they have to choose to register and marry their fiance honestly. Divorced Shaoxing opera actors have long accepted the transformation from leading role to supporting role, but they have to accept the transformation of becoming leading role again because the new leading role has moved to Shanghai. There are several intersecting time points in the three stories, and any two or three of the three women will appear in the same time and space successively, but they are not directly related to each other. This interpretation of time and space is used repeatedly in many movies. Typical examples are Khiesz Lovsky's Red, White and Blue trilogy, Algardo Gonzá lez's Love is a Bitch, and the well-known Run Lola, etc. The protagonists in the three red, white and blue movies all saw a hunchbacked old woman throwing cans into the trash can. From the first part, the old lady tried to throw the empty cans into the dustbin until the third part. Love is a son of a bitch, and a car accident is the origin of time. Three people who witnessed or experienced a car accident have three unrelated stories respectively. An important feature of this structure is that it can produce a strong sense of fatalism, thus enhancing the artistic temperament of the film. However, we find that this structural method is very cautious in the application of the above films. In "Red, White and Blue", the old lady throwing cans has nothing to do with the main narrative line, but only plays an embellishment role in the film. While looking for the lover of her dead husband, Pi Nuo Qi, dressed in blue, also saw the white couple who were conducting divorce proceedings in court. But Bai Lan, after all, is two films, which have not produced too many traces of design, seemingly inadvertently, but in fact have fully expressed their fatalistic consciousness. Love is a son of a bitch. The characters in different stories see the same car accident, but it's actually just the same car accident, and this design is based on strong dramatic conflicts. Cosmetic Contact Lenses, on the other hand, is full of various intersections in the same film, repeatedly emphasizing the actions of different characters in the same time and space, which is obviously designed as early as before the filming. Guan Hu also admitted this at the exchange meeting after the film screening. This structure is not to say that it can't be used, but the question is whether it can be used effectively. For example, which intersection of so many times is the origin of time. This problem does not exist in Red, White and Blue. In Love is a Bitch, it is clear that the origin of coordinates is a car accident. However, there is no clear origin in Xi Shi Yan. If it is far-fetched, it can be regarded as the origin that three women appear at the same time when performing Yue Opera in a mountain village, then when the female teacher in the county photo studio takes a wedding photo, the photo of the little girl and the actor of Yue Opera in the village also appears in this scene. Can it be regarded as the origin? In fact, there is a detail in the film that can be used as a good origin, and that is the rainbow in the sky behind three women. It's a pity that this kind of rainbow is everywhere. It's just that there are rainbows where there is sky.
