Coloring: The basic drawing method of colored lead painting is flat drawing and parallel arrangement. Combine the lines of sketch to shape. Because colored lead has certain brush strokes, attention should be paid to the direction of lines when tiling, which has certain regularity and moderate thickness. Because waxy colored lead is a translucent material, it should be colored in the order of light color first and then dark color, otherwise the dark color will turn up.

Touch-up: Use a rubber or knife to treat the bright surface and highlights of an object.

Basic technology of water-soluble colored lead

1. Flat coating method: evenly arrange pencil lines with colored pencils to achieve the same color effect.

2. Overlapping color method: arrange pencil lines of different colors with colored pencils, and the colors can be overlapped and varied.

3. Water-soluble stunning method: Using the water-soluble colored lead's solubility in water, the colored lead wire is fused with water to achieve the stunning effect.
