Architectural pattern of Weiyang Palace
Changle Palace and Weiyang Palace are located on the east and west sides of Anmen Street in Chang 'an, Han Dynasty, so they are also called East Palace and West Palace respectively. The Han dynasty was "right" and the orientation was "west". Nishinomiya is the imperial palace, the so-called "public palace". Weiyang Palace, also known as Purple Palace or Wei Zi Palace, was divided into three walls by ancient astronomers in China, with fifteen stars in the middle wall, also known as Purple Palace. The Purple Palace is the living room of the Emperor of Heaven, and Weiyang Palace is called the Purple Palace because it is the Miyagi of the emperor on earth.
There are three trunk roads in Miyagi, two parallel east-west trunk roads run through Miyagi, and a north-south trunk road runs through it in the middle. Two east-west trunk roads divide Weiyang Palace into three areas: south, middle and north.
The front hall is the most important main building of Weiyang Palace, occupying the center of the whole palace, and other important buildings surround it. To the north of Qian Dian is the Pepper Room Temple, where the Queen lives. Further north, there are Tianlu Pavilion, the earliest national library in China, and Shiqu Pavilion, the earliest national archives in China. In the west of Qian Dian, there are royal offices, such as the central office and the Shaofu office. On the southwest side of the front hall is a palace, with a pool and terraces. This kind of high-rise main palace, which assists the architectural configuration of the back and sides of the palace, has become a model for the layout of later palaces.
Weiyang Palace has a total area of about 5 square kilometers, accounting for about one-seventh of the area of Chang 'an City in Han Dynasty, which is slightly smaller than Changle Palace, but the building itself is more magnificent. There are palace gates on all sides, and there are gaps between the east gate and the north gate. The East Que is outside the East Sima Gate, facing the West Que of Changle Palace. There are more than 40 houses in the palace, as well as six hills and many pools, and there are nearly 100 portals, which are connected with Changle Palace by a pavilion road.
