abstract

The car was developed by Cadillac Gai Ke, and was first made public at the meeting of American Army Association in June 1977+00. This kind of vehicle is basically used for reconnaissance and security, but it can also be used as a command vehicle and an anti-tank vehicle. 1983 Indonesia ordered 28 vehicles; Egypt bought 1 12 cars.

design feature

The car body is a welded structure of high hardness Cadloy armored steel, and the armor around the car body is inclined to improve the protection. The front part is long, and the horizontal inclination of the front upper armor from the top of the cab cover to the front of the car is 14. This structure not only ensures elasticity, but also facilitates vehicles to pass through bushes.

The driver is located on the left side of the car body, 1 single hatch cover, which can slide forward and the driver's seat can be raised. There are three periscopes in front of the hatch cover.

The engine is on the driver's left side and there is an inspection window cover on the right side of the car body. Through this inspection window, the liquid levels of engine, coolant, lubricating oil and brake fluid can be checked. The whole power unit including engine, transfer case, transmission and cooling system can be replaced within 2 hours. The fuel tank is in the front of the car body.

The control tower is located at the rear of the car body. The conductor enters and exits through the rear 1 double doors. The upper part of the door opens to the right and the lower part folds down. The front axle is suspended by a coil spring with front and rear bending arms, and the rear axle is independently suspended by a heavy coil spring. Both axles are equipped with rigid locking differential, which can improve driving performance.

Steering is hydraulically assisted, and the hydraulic pump is driven by the engine through gears. There are independent hydraulic braking devices at the front and rear, and the pressure is supplied by the master cylinder. When the engine is turned off, another standby system driven by the motor starts to work.

Standard equipment includes 2 manual fire extinguishers, engineering tools, first aid kit, maintenance toolbox and air compressor. Optional equipment includes broadcasting equipment, radio equipment, water tanks, gasoline tanks, camouflage nets and smoke bombs. The car has no three-proof device and liquid vision equipment, and is not amphibious.
