What is a sacrifice to the Jade Emperor?

Worship the Jade Emperor for peace.

On the ninth day of the first month, the whole family must fast and bathe before worship, and then put offerings, tea, wine, flowers and candles on the table. After the incense, the whole family will bow down to heaven and pray for the Jade Emperor to bless everything on earth.

The fifteenth day of the twelfth lunar month means perfection in folk proverbs. In some areas, it is said to worship the Jade Emperor on this day, which is called "to worship the Jade Emperor and pray for peace". On the afternoon of the fifteenth day of the twelfth lunar month, every household in some areas is wrapping up jiaozi. Before sunset, the husband will mark the burnt paper with a special "rammed paper" and a copper coin. Burning paper must be placed neatly, if it overlaps, it will become useless waste paper. Here, please ask a learned old man to write a "peace document" with a brush.

Legend has it that the Jade Emperor was a duke named Zhang You, also known as Zhang Bai. Since Pangu created the world, everything in the world has been peaceful. Then the gods went to war, and the three worlds of heaven and earth were in chaos. Therefore, Taibai Venus came to earth to look for people with both ability and political integrity to lead the Three Realms.

Venus Taibai became a beggar, looking everywhere. Later, when she arrived at Zhangjiawan, she found that Zhang You, known as "Zhang Bairen", managed the village very harmoniously, so she brought the village back to heaven and became the Jade Emperor. Later, the immortals in the three realms praised Zhang Bairen as "the Emperor of Heaven for life" and called him "the Jade Emperor". Because the Jade Emperor is the chief emperor of the Three Realms, it is also called "Jade Emperor" or "Jade God".
