List of winners in Anhui Division of the 14th National Undergraduate Mathematics Competition

The results of the 14th National Mathematics Competition for College Students in Anhui Province were announced. Wu Jian and Xu Chengcheng from the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, Ye Li and Zheng Rui from the School of Materials and Environmental Engineering, and Hu Anqi from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Semiconductor College) won the prize. Among them, four students majoring in mathematics and applied mathematics, Wu Jian, Chen Kangying, Pingping Chen and Jiang Xuan, won the first prize in mathematics B, and 45 students in our school won the first prize in mathematics B.

While strengthening the construction of study style and course teaching, the college pays attention to the cultivation of students' professional ability and quality, improves students' enthusiasm and interest in learning mathematics, and actively guides and organizes students to participate in college students' mathematics competitions, making the competitions an effective carrier to stimulate students' interest in learning and improve their comprehensive learning ability.

By scientifically formulating talent training plan, optimizing curriculum, strengthening process assessment, and carrying out second-class training in various ways, the college has improved the quality of talent training through multiple channels and angles, which has effectively promoted the construction of first-class majors in mathematics and applied mathematics at the provincial level.
