Can wild azaleas be grafted with domestic azaleas?

Wild rhododendron can be grafted with domestic rhododendron. Wild rhododendron and domestic rhododendron are the same species, but the environment is different and they can be grafted. Grafting method:

1. First, take 2-3 years of robust branches from the mother plant of potted rhododendron.

2. Cut a ring-shaped branch bark about 1 cm wide from the top of the branch at 10- 12 cm, and gently peel off the sieve tube in the phloem.

3. Cut off the downward transport channel of organic matter produced by leaves, and make it gather, thus accelerating cell division, forming tumor-like processes and sprouting roots and buds.
