Why did the Buddha become a Buddha under the bodhi tree?
In the 6th century BC, there was a small country between the foothills of the Himalayas and the Ganges River. The king was called King Su Fan. One day, Sudoku king in the palace received good news from the queen's home, and the queen gave birth to a prince for him. This prince is Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism. Sakyamuni's mother died on the seventh day after giving birth to him, so he was raised by his aunt. Sakyamuni was very clever since he was a child. He can learn everything as soon as he learns, and he is willing to ask why, and he must get an answer. King suddhodana likes the little prince very much, and hopes that one day the little prince can become the king who unifies the world. But the old king is always worried about the little prince, because he is always willing to think about something ridiculous for the old king. For example, he asked, people are the same. Why are some people Brahmins and others sudra? And the descendants of Brahmins are all Brahmins, and the descendants of sudra will always be sudra. Why? The old king couldn't answer, so he had to say that it was arranged by heaven, but Siddhartha said he didn't believe it and said he would find a way to make everyone equal. Siddhartha/Kloc-married his cousin when he was 0/9 years old, and his family life was very happy. One day, Siddhartha went out to play and saw an old man leaning on a wooden stick, struggling to move his steps. Not far away, he saw a patient lying in the mud, like a flock of birds pecking at a corpse. He asked a passerby what was going on, and the passerby said, "It's really rare and strange. This kind of thing often happens, which is not the first time. " After returning to the palace, he has been thinking about this problem, which is very annoying and distressing. He is thinking: can't a person be free from the pain of birth, illness and death all his life? Another day, Siddhartha saw a man in rags, holding a clay bowl, looking carefree, rich and happy. The prince asked his entourage who this was. The waiter said, "This is a monk." Siddhartha quickly bowed to the monk and asked him why he was so happy. The monk said to him, "things are impermanent, and only monks can get rid of them." After the prince returned to the palace, he was very excited about the monk's words and had the idea of becoming a monk. Next morning, his wife gave birth to a son. After the news came out, the whole city celebrated that King Les had a grandson and Siddhartha had a son. But Siddhartha thought about it all night and decided to become a monk. He walked quietly past his wife's room and saw her holding her son, wanting to go in and have a look. However, he finally stopped and sighed: "How difficult it is to cultivate!" "Finally, he made up his mind to abandon his wife and children and resolutely left home. The next day, Siddhartha went abroad, drew his sword by a river, shaved his hair and became a monk. The old king was so anxious that his son disappeared, so he sent several people to look for him. He finally found Siddhartha in the forest, but he refused to go home. Since then, Siddhartha has traveled around, looking for famous scholars to study philosophy and following ascetic monks to study Taoism. At that time, the so-called "asceticism" was popular in India, that is, to seek the Tao through various ways of seeking suffering such as not eating or sleeping. Siddhartha once used this method, and as a result, he was almost exhausted and still found nothing. Later, he realized that only by being strong can he find the truth. So, he began to pay attention to exercise his body and will. One day, he came to a small river and wanted to take a bath to wash away all the dirt accumulated on his body after six years of becoming a monk. Seeing Siddhartha's exhausted appearance, the little girl who was herding cattle by the river was very worried and gave him a lot of milk. Siddhartha finally regained his strength. He walked under a bodhi tree and sat cross-legged, where he closed his eyes and meditated for six years. At the age of 35, he finally realized the truth of relieving human suffering and founded Buddhism. Later, Siddhartha went to various places to preach and recruit believers, hoping that everyone would believe everything he said and do it accordingly. This is how Buddhism was born. Siddhartha, as the founder of Buddhism, was called Sakyamuni by his disciples, which means the sage of Sakyamuni. Sakyamuni's theory and spirit touched many people, including many people of Brahman and Khrushchev caste. More and more people have accepted the teachings of Sakyamuni. Sakyamuni interprets Buddhism as "four truths", which means truth. The four truths are four truths: bitter truths, gathering truths, eliminating truths and Tao truths. " "Bitterness" means that a person's life is full of bitterness, and the joys and sorrows of birth, illness and death are actually bitter. "Gathering truth" refers to the reason why people suffer. Because people have all kinds of desires, if they put their desires into action, there will be corresponding results, so in the afterlife, they will pay the price for their actions in this world, that is, one good turn deserves another, and one evil turn deserves another. "Eliminating truths" refers to how to eliminate bitter causes. If you want to get rid of suffering, you must get rid of desire. "Tao" is how to eliminate the bitter cause, and eliminating the bitter cause is practice. Sakyamuni also formulated "commandments" for believers. Both believers at home and monks who become monks must abide by the "five commandments": no killing, no stealing, no fornication, no lying and no drinking. Monks are called monks and women are called nuns. They must shave their heads, wear robes and be completely divorced from family life. In addition, they must abide by the precepts of some monks. Buddhism advocates that all people are created equal, sympathizes with those who are unfortunate and suffering, and preaches that as long as you do good in this life, there will be good results in the afterlife; If you do bad things in this life, you will get what you deserve in the next life. These thoughts of Sakyamuni escaped the harsh reality and had a negative side. He also advocated the method of self-liberation to eliminate troubles and deny struggle, so it was often used by the ruling class in past dynasties. On February 15 BC, Sakyamuni preached to several disciples that he came to a river and then took a bath in it. After taking a bath, the disciples set up a rope celebration among several Borneo trees. Sakyamuni lay on his side, resting his right hand, and said to his disciples, I am old and dying. After my death, don't give up on yourself because you lost your mentor, but vigorously promote Buddhism and save the world. With that, he died. Later, in order to remember his painstaking teaching to his disciples, people created a reclining Buddha statue of Sakyamuni in the temple, and called the day of Sakyamuni's birth (April 8 of the lunar calendar) "Buddha washing festival" and the day of his practice (December 8 of the lunar calendar) "Laba Festival". After the cremation of Sakyamuni's remains, the ashes formed many colorful particles, which Buddhism called "relics". Later, eight kings shared the benefits and treasured them in a specially built tower to show their admiration for Sakyamuni. This tower is decorated with seven kinds of treasures, such as gold, silver, agate and pearls, and is called "Pagoda". It is said that a tooth of Sakyamuni is hidden in the "Buddha Tooth Pagoda" of Lingguang Temple in Xishan, Beijing. In the 1 century, Buddhism spread to Han areas in China, and then from China to Korea and Japan. Today, more than 200 million people all over the world still believe in Buddhism.
