What does gyro mean?

A gyro is a rigid body that rotates at high speed around a fulcrum.

Gyroscope (gyro; Gyro) refers to a symmetrical rigid body with fixed points and rotating around the axis of symmetry at high speed in engineering. Its axis of rotation is called the gyro spindle. Because of the different supporting forms, rigid body shapes and mass distribution, the types of gyroscopes are also different.
