What is the difference between a saint and a nun?

Saint and nun are both female clergy in Catholicism, but their responsibilities, status and practice methods are different.

Saints refer to women who become living representatives of the Virgin Mary through sacred calling. Their main duty is to serve the church, including preaching, praying and teaching. As the representative of the virgin, the status of the virgin is higher than that of ordinary nuns, usually appointed by bishops or priests, and given corresponding rights and responsibilities.

Nuns are female members of Catholicism and are responsible for performing religious ceremonies and taking care of the daily life of believers. Their main job is to assist priests in mass, prayer, vigil and other activities. The duties of nuns are relatively simple, and their status is lower than that of saints.

Therefore, although both saints and nuns have contributed to Catholicism, they are different in responsibilities, status and practice methods.
