Bianhe Street Landscape

Bianhe Street is located in front of the main building of Yueyang Tower, overlooking the Yangtze River. The patchwork Qingshitai Road and melodious guqin music add a charm to this antique street. Two gatehouses with upturned cornices in Nanyuepo Square stand tall, and the lintel of Dongcheng Building is engraved with the three characters "Zhanyuemen" inscribed by Comrade Hua Guofeng. Climb the stairs, enter the city through a hole, and step into an antique street full of ancient charm of Ming and Qing Dynasties-"Bianhe Street". Bianhe Street faces Yuezhou Confucian Temple, a national classical Confucian temple, across the street, covering an area of 30 mu. All-in-one open porch structure walks along Qingshiban Road, with inns, restaurants, teahouses, pavilions and pavilions on both sides, all of which are blue brick and white walls, carved windows and painted cornices. The street has views and buildings, which are simple and elegant. In order to carry out the design concept of "showing the style of the ancient city and setting off the scenery of Louhu" in every detail and actual landscape construction, an 800-year-old Lagerstroemia indica tree with a diameter of about 1.9 m was planted here, which was taken from the Three Gorges. Lagerstroemia indica is a precious environmental protection plant in China, with a tree age of up to a thousand years. Bianhe Street is open to the public free of charge, and there are many delicacies and handicrafts along the street for tourists to buy.
