Pers) is also known as Lagerstroemia speciosa, Centennial Orchid, Barnabas, Wulixiang, Honghuihua, Centennial Orchid and Buddha Tears. Tall deciduous tree of Myrtaceae, about 5- 12 m high, with opposite leaves, rectangular or oval. It is characterized by large flowers, large leaves and a flower diameter of 5-7 cm. The leaf length is 10~25cm, the width is 6~ 12cm, and there are many stamens, reaching 100~200. Petals are almost shriveled, calyx has 12 edges, and the color varies from light red to deep purple.
