Comparatively speaking, among these four people, Fengdu Emperor's position is low, and the other three people are almost neck and neck, so it is difficult to distinguish them. This situation is caused by the confusion of myth system. Taoism is a native religion in China and has its own myth system. However, with the introduction of Buddhism into the Middle Ages, it also brought a myth system. The integration of the two forms a new myth system, but it also causes confusion.

In fact, in the myth system of primitive Taoism, hell is only the place in charge of the prison of the underworld, similar to the Dali Temple and the punishments on earth, and it is only a functional department of heaven itself. But in the Buddhist myth system, hell is not a functional department, but a synonym for the underworld. The concept of "three realms" between human and heaven is far greater than the Taoist hell.
