Through high-pressure propagation, a pot of bonsai with good plastic arts and vigorous growth is obtained, which is a relatively simple propagation method with high cost performance. High-pressure propagation technology was created by China, and it is called air stratification, also known as China stratification. In fact, it is a kind of layering propagation method, and there is also a kind of low-pressure propagation method, which is a method of directly pressing branches on the ground. High pressure propagation method is generally suitable for some slow-growing and expensive tree species. Select branches that do not affect the shape of the mother tree and adopt the method of girdling. Then wrap the wound with plastic sheets, cut it into plastic flowerpots in half, fill it with soil, water it and keep it moist, and wait for it to take root. This is the high-pressure propagation method. High pressure propagation can be operated all year round, especially in spring. Here, I will share with you the detailed operation steps.

1. Select branches on the selected parent tree, and choose desirable branches, preferably after pruning, which will not affect the subsequent growth and tree shape of the parent tree, and one tree will become two trees.

2, girdling bark with a sterilized knife, on the selected branches, longitudinal stripping girdling bark, width between 2-4 cm, upper and lower incision should be neat and smooth. After the bark is cut, the epidermis should be cleaned, that is, the green part should be thoroughly cleaned until the white xylem is exposed, and the xylem cannot be damaged.

3. Apply rooting powder. Apply rooting powder on the upper incision and surrounding bark to make the roots germinate faster and more evenly. Here's a trick. Tie a wire around the top of the incision. In this way, when the roots germinate, they will grow a circle of roots, which is what we often say when cultivating stumps.

4. Wrap the wound with sterilized plain soil, add water and stir, knead the dough by hand, and the dough will be slightly loose. Wrap the circular wound with earth dumplings, wrap it with plastic film, and tie both ends tightly.

5. Water the soil in the breathable plastic film to keep it moist, so that the wound can take root quickly. To replenish water to the soil inside, it is necessary to inject water into it with a needle. When the temperature is kept at about 20℃, rooting takes about 15 days.

6. Remove the plastic film. We can usually observe the white roots inside through the plastic film. When the color of the roots changes from white to yellowish brown, we can peel off the plastic film.

7. Put the mold on. The molds here are generally replaced by plastic flower pots, and there are also special molds. Just cut the flowerpot to make it suitable for layering. Carefully place the flowerpot and tie it tightly. Then, cut it off at the lower mouth of the molding.

8. The root development of plants cut off by pruning branches and leaves is definitely imperfect. After leaving the mother plant, some branches and leaves should be cut off to let the roots grow and develop rapidly. This process is equivalent to the blank-raising process of old piles.

9. Trim the roots and put them on the basin, because the tree before layering is already very good. After about 6 months of recovery, the root system has grown very healthy and strong. At this time, you can trim the roots and go directly to the pot.

10. When the pot is over, we can consider the appropriate modeling according to the idea. We can also make various shapes according to the existing tree shape, or we can make a root-lifting model, which is to use the opportunity of changing pots every year to slowly lift the roots. A few years later, it is a pot with unique shape.
