Can silkworm moths spin silk?

Silkworm moths can spin silk, but the amount of spinning silk is small.

Silkworm moth is an insect of Lepidoptera, Silkworm moth family and Ricinus family. When its larvae pupate, they often use the viscosity of silk to spin silk to sew the leaves of trees, and then form cocoons to wrap themselves.
