Go out of Yulin ancient city, return to Yuxi stream, and flow northward. This rich valley is like a green ribbon. Yuxi River flows slowly, and there is noise from the side.

Wow, the valley lies quietly, making people walk on its beautiful and elastic chest. The raw water of Yuxi River was called emperor in ancient times, and its source was a clear spring in Shawo. It winds in the distant Hetao, with a total length of more than 200 kilometers, and controls the basin area of 5,537 square kilometers. It is the main tributary of the Wuding River and the land of plenty in Yulin. Xia Nan, the east cliff is12m high and 250m long, and the west cliff is18m high and 284m long. The two walls face each other with two peaks. According to historical records, there are 44 caves here. The original stone statues, clay sculptures, relief stone carvings and inscriptions in the caves were recorded as created by the "Cultural Revolution" of the Ming Dynasty. At present, there are only 33 grottoes, large and small, most of which are located on the East Cliff and only five on the West Cliff, but they are beyond recognition. The larger grottoes are Notre Dame, Ursa Major, Kannonji, Stone Buddha Hall, Jue Yuan Hall, Lying Buddha Hall, Kindness Hall, Little Sumeru Hall and Qinyuan Hall. Except for a few re-statues, murals and inscriptions are gone.
