WORD file is garbled? What should we do?

1. After opening the damaged document in Word, select File → Save As.

2. In the Save as Type list, select RTF format (*. Rtf), and then click Save.

3. Close the damaged document, open the RTF file just saved, and select File → Save As.

4. In the save type list, select Word document (*. Doc), and then click Save.

5. Close the RTF document and open the modified Word document.

Word documents will retain their formatting when converted to RTF. If the file damage cannot be corrected by this conversion, you can try to convert to other Word processing formats, which will preserve the format of the Word document to some extent.

If none of these formats can solve this problem, you can convert the document into plain text format (*. Txt), and then return to the Word format. Because of the simplicity of plain text, this method may correct the damage, but all the formats of the Word document will be lost.
