Hongdu Gorge is the main attraction of Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon, named after a rare tree species Taxus chinensis growing in the canyon. The main gorge is15km long and covers an area of more than 500 hectares. There are steep cliffs, picturesque rocks, flowing water, magnificent waterfalls, rare species, strange stone forests and primitive vegetation in the territory, making it a beautiful natural scenic spot. Hongdu Gorge is a unique place for couples to meet, and it is also a unique place for leisure, tourism and viewing. The entrance to the north of Hongdu Gorge is narrow, and the cliffs on both sides are towering and far away, and the clear streams slowly flow outward. Going upstream along the stream, the hinterland of the canyon twists and turns sharply, which is the waterfall. The waterfall divides into two branches and falls into a deep pool from a height with a drop of10m and a width of 5m. The water is crisp and pleasant. This is Shuanglongtan Waterfall.

Hongduxia is a branch of Longquan Gorge. Located at the foot of Zituan Mountain in the southwest of Pandishu. Named after Taxus chinensis, a rare tree species growing in the canyon. Hongdou Gorge has a narrow exit at both ends and an open hinterland, which looks like a gourd. Walking along the gorge, the cliffs stand tall, the strange rocks criss-cross in the hinterland of the peaks and mountains, the ruins of ancient temples still exist on the shore, waterfalls hang down, mountain springs are scattered all over the valley, and ancient trees, rare tree species and various plants are all over the canyon. Three miles in the valley, natural scenery and human landscape complement each other. It can be described as a three-mile canyon and a three-mile gallery. Hongdu Canyon is a natural botanical garden. According to the investigation of botanists, it is preliminarily determined that there are more than 330 kinds of plants in the canyon, among which there are many rare plants and plants with high ornamental level. The environment, climate, scale and taste all meet the standards of natural botanical garden area, and it is a good place for leisure, tourism, viewing and studying plants. There is a ravine more than twenty miles deep in Taihang Mountain called Scorpion Gully. There are two big puddles in the ditch, one is called Huanglongtan and the other is called Heilongtan. The water in Huanglongtan is very shallow and yellow. It seems to be only one rod deep, so it is impossible to hide dragons. Black Dragon Pool is about half an acre in size, and the water is as black as ink. Nobody knows how deep it is. It is really a place where hidden dragon crouches tiger and zongzi are everywhere.

Legend has it that in ancient times there was a Huanglong entrenched in a deep pool, which harmed the people. Floods occur every year, farmland is washed away and houses collapse. How people want to lock this harmful Huanglong!

At the right moment, a kind black dragon flew in, trying to get rid of this great harm to people.

The black dragon has to have a place to live! However, Shentan was occupied by Huanglong, and Huanglong became a strong young man to do long-term work for Director Tan.

Black Dragon is kind, honest and hardworking. He often keeps his house clean, his yard clean, the animals are well fed, and he gets along well with his neighbors. So the host likes him very much and the neighbors love him very much.

One day, the master wanted to go around the field and see how the crops made by the black dragon were, so he came to the field by the pool. Who knows that when I went to the field, only five sorghum trees were planted in one acre: one in the middle and one in the four corners. The master thought: how can this lay a grain?

The black dragon is weeding. When he saw his master coming, he asked how the land grew. The master asked, "Is it too thick to leave five seedlings?" Hearing this, the honest black dragon pulled out all the seedlings in the four corners, leaving only one in the middle. The host didn't say anything, but muttered in his heart: After autumn, we can compete for food.

Autumn came, and the black dragon rolled the land into a field, urging the owner to empty all the cellars and urns and prepare food. Strange to say, that sorghum actually grows as tall as a tree. It knocked down the seeds like dates with a pole and carried the grain home with a cloth bag, but it was always endless until the owner said anxiously, "Don't transport it, don't transport it!" There is no place to eat! " Only then. This time, the master was overjoyed and appreciated the black dragon's technology very much.

On the day of year-end checkout, the host asked the black dragon how much it cost. The black dragon said, "I don't want money." Give me this puddle if you like. " Without saying anything, the host agreed. The black dragon said, "That puddle has been occupied. I need your help tomorrow morning. " The host said cheerfully, "Just say it." The black dragon took out three symbols from his pocket and gave them to his master, saying, "It will be foggy tomorrow morning. Get up early in the morning, take three symbols, walk to the puddle, see the black water rolling, and throw the first symbol into the water. Wait until the black water turns over, then cast it. As long as you throw away the three symbols, this puddle is mine. "

The next morning, it was foggy. The master remembered the black dragon, so he took three symbols and hurried to the puddle. He saw the black water rolling badly and vaguely saw a black dragon and a yellow dragon tearing in the water. That yellow dragon is fierce, and the black dragon seems to be overwhelmed. The master hurriedly threw the first symbol into the water and kept muttering to himself: "Huanglong Huanglong, stop arguing, this is the pit earned by the black dragon." For a moment, the water calmed down, but it soon churned again. He read and threw a second sign. After throwing the third symbol into the water, he saw a yellow dragon jump out of the water, flying southwest with injuries, falling to the edge of a shallow pool and drilling into the hole.

Master realized that the black dragon who worked for him was a real dragon and decided to get rid of this yellow dragon with the black dragon. So he called all the villagers and moved stones to block the cave, so that Huanglong could never be born.

In order to thank the black dragon, people built the Longwang Temple and a theater in that sorghum field, and set the fourth day of April as a temple fair every year to sing for the black dragon for three days. Since then, the hills in this area have been in good weather every year and began to live a good life.
