Synopsis of "Heavy Rain":

After the September 18th Incident, Lu Zhenhua (Kou Zhenhai), a local warlord in Northeast China, fled to Shanghai with his youngest son and settled in the French Concession. His ninth aunt, Xue Qin (Wang Lin), was overbearing and drove his eighth wife, Wen Pei (Xu Xing), mother and daughter, and adjutant Li (ornaments) out of Lujia. The two families once lost their financial resources and lived in poverty and embarrassment. Wen Pei's daughter Yi Ping (Zhao Wei) comes to ask her father for living expenses. She had a conflict with Qin Xue and was whipped by her father, so she decided to take revenge.
