Breeding method of Lagerstroemia indica

1. Softwood cutting: The cutting time is usually in July-August, because the branches are the most vigorous at this time and the survival rate is high. Cut the lignified branches into cuttings about 10 cm long, leaving only 2-3 leaves at the top. The cutting depth is about 8 cm, and then the plastic film is covered with water, and it can take root and survive in about 15-20 days.

2. Hardwood cutting: The cutting time is generally from late March to early April. The method is similar to that of the tender branch. Select robust annual branches and cut them into 10- 15 cm, and the cutting depth is about 8- 13 cm. Then, water them and cover them with plastic film. When the seedlings grow to 15-20 cm, open the film for maintenance.

Second, the sowing method
