The difference between violets and lavender

Violet and lavender have obvious differences in morphological characteristics, growing environment, color and fragrance.

1. Morphological characteristics: Violet is a biennial or perennial herb. The whole plant is densely covered with gray peduncle, leaves are oblong or oblanceolate, flowers are purplish red, red, yellow or white, and fruits are fragrant and slender for viewing. Lavender is an evergreen aromatic shrub, native to southern Europe, especially the Mediterranean region. It can grow in mountainous areas with quite high altitude. Its narrow leaves are gray and fluffy, and its flowers are gray and blue, growing on slender stems.

2, growth environment: Violet likes cold climate, avoid hot and dry. I like fertile and deep soil and require good drainage and air permeability. Lavender likes dry, moderate water demand and sunny environment.

4, fragrance: the fragrance of violets is relatively elegant, while the fragrance of lavender is more intense.
