Zoroastrianism, the official name of which is Manichaeism, also known as Munism, originated from the Sassanian dynasty in ancient Persia. It was founded by the Persian Mānī in the middle of the 3rd century, and was influenced by Christianity and Iranian Zoroastrianism Mazda. It is a dualist religion with Gnosticism. The main theory is "Two Cases of San Ji Theory", which advocates lightness.

Manichaeism was introduced into Xinjiang in the sixth and seventh centuries, and then into Mobei Uighur from Xinjiang, where it prevailed. In the third year of Tang Daizong Dali (768), at the request of Uighur, Mani Temple was established in Jianghuai and other places. When the Buddha was destroyed in Huichang, Tang Wuzong in the fifth year (845), Manichaeism was also severely hit, became a secret religion, and absorbed Taoism and folk beliefs, so it was renamed Zoroastrianism.

Zoroastrianism, believing that darkness is about to pass and light is coming, dares to resist and takes actions against the government many times. Since the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, Zoroastrianism has rebelled in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Anhui and other places. Later, Zoroastrianism combined with Maitreya and Anbaili and evolved into An Baili in the late Ming Dynasty. Although the word Zoroastrianism no longer appears in the literature of Qing Dynasty, the story of the birth of "Wang Ming" is still circulating among the people.
