Interpretation of several woodcarving couplets on residential doors in Qing Dynasty
The second couplet is about an idyllic scenery: the air after the rain is exceptionally fresh, the moist soil sets off the rosy clouds all over the sky, and orchids exude noble fragrance in the fresh air after the rain.
The third is about a man who has heard the hadith. He wrote it down and said that he would never forget the grace of the holy one.
The fourth part tells the story of a dynasty official returning to his hometown to beautify his hometown.
The fifth couplet is about an official who was born all over the world. When he was in the imperial court, he was respected and had a good old age. Tired of life in North Korea, he retired to his hometown and lived in seclusion in this beautiful place.
This is my humble opinion, please be elegant!
