History of Daci Yanfu Palace
According to Gan Long's "Full Map of Beijing" and related records, there are three mountain gates such as the Bell and Drum Tower on Beijing West Road. There are three halls in the north and partition walls on both sides. The main hall in the courtyard is the Hall of Great Compassion and Extension of Happiness, surrounded by five corridors, with a platform in front and a building behind. There are two pavilions on both sides of the platform. There are three halls of Baozhen in the east and three halls of Fashan in the west. There are three halls behind the main hall. Each hall has three halls, with Wei Zi Hall in the middle, Qing Hall in the east and Tsinghua Hall in the west. The above-mentioned buildings and Daochangfu, south of East Road, were demolished in the early 1950s when building office buildings. Now all that's left is Donglu Temple. There is a fence in the south, a green glazed tile roof, a red wall, and only one wall door is opened on the wall. In front of the courtyard is the children's hall, which is three rooms wide and seven purlins deep. There is no front porch, and the top of the mountain rests on the eaves alone. There are three arches under the eaves, and the wellhead in the hall is smallpox. There are eight algae wells in the middle and two dragons are playing with beads. The back hall is the extension hall, with five rooms wide and five purlins deep. No front porch, hanging from the top of the mountain. Both halls are decorated with black glazed tiles. Where animals kiss, four rhombic lattice doors and windows cross. There is a tunnel between the two halls and the base. There are corner rooms on both sides of the main hall, and the front is connected with the annex hall. The East Hall has been destroyed, while the West Hall still has a residual site, which has been restored in recent years. After the south fence was repaired, a new Ruyi Gate with a green roof and a red wall was built in its original position. Since 1950s, two units have successively built office buildings in the original site of Yanfu Palace in Daci Temple. Most of the ancient buildings were demolished, leaving no trace. Only the children's hall, expansion hall and some west halls in the East Hospital are left. Temple top shrines and algae wells are finely carved. Because the unit where I stayed was smallpox, it remained intact. 1998, the occupier rebuilt the back hall and the middle hall successively. 1On February 23rd, 990, the Beijing Municipal People's Government announced the architectural remains of Yanfu Palace in Daci Palace as the key cultural relics protection unit in Beijing.
When the Great Ciyanfu Palace was demolished, there were still statues of three officials of heaven, earth and water and courtiers such as Wen and Wu in the palace 12, which were moved to Zhihua Temple as the warehouse of the Municipal Cultural Relics Bureau. These statues are all carved with golden nanmu, decorated, whitewashed and gilded. Clothing is in the Ming Dynasty style, with vivid decorative patterns. The abdomen of each statue is filled with organs made of cotton silk, and there are hundreds of volumes such as Yuan Leishui's Nine-Day Camp Popularizing the Buddha's Book of Yu Shubao. After the restoration of Zhihua Temple, the statue was moved to Dongyue Temple outside Chaoyangmen and displayed in Yude Hall. The three officials of heaven, earth and water sat on the bed where the dragon roamed, holding the GUI board in their hands, wearing a balanced crown and a coronation suit, and stood tall. The celestial official is in the middle, with a gentle and charitable expression, an extraordinary eyebrow and charm, and a pair of elegant demeanor. The local official and the water official sit around, and the local official looks serene, and the yellow face symbolizes the color of the earth. Shui Guan's face is wide, his chin is round, his eyes are awkward, his face is dark red and his expression is terrible. On both sides of the three official statues, there are eight civil and military officials. There are two statues of civil servants wearing seven crowns and royal robes; The costumes of two respected Taoist priests are elegant and steady. The military commander wears a hoe and armor, and he is mighty and capable. Vivid modeling design and smooth and exquisite manufacturing technology show the superb level of sculpture art in Ming Dynasty.
