Revealing the Qin Quan Observatory: It is used for stargazing, star worship and astrology.
The site of Xingtai in Qin Dynasty is located in Fangta Village, Fangta Town, jia county. The locals call it "Tiemadui".
The white spot on the outer wall of the star jar of Ziwei Garden, a sacrificial ritual instrument unearthed near Xingtai site of Qin Empire, was identified as the star representing the stars by archaeology.
A few days ago, the all-day Xingtai site of the Qin Empire was completely discovered. This major archaeological academic achievement was investigated and verified by the Ancient Road Research Office and the Cultural and Sports Bureau of Yuyang District for 9 years, and passed the evaluation by an expert evaluation team headed by Zhou Tianyou, president of the Qin and Han Research Association of China, and Chen Meidong, a researcher at the China Academy of Social Sciences. This achievement fills a big gap in the study of astronomical literature and ideological history in China, and also exposes the mystery of astronomical culture of the Chinese nation, which lasted for more than two thousand years.
The site covers an area of 28,000 square kilometers.
The All-Star Terrace of the Qin Empire consists of 65,438+0,424 round or oval earth terraces, corresponding to 332 stars or officials in the sky, as well as the territory, mountains and rivers, county barriers, palace gardens, civil and military officials, troops, prisons, social undertakings and daily life of the Qin Empire. At the same time, these constellations also echo various myths and other spiritual worlds, forming a complete "paradise on earth".
Qin Shihuang's "paradise on earth" star platform group faces the Yellow River in the east, crosses the Ming Great Wall in the west, stops at the lower reaches of Xiuyan River in the south and reaches Ordos Plateau in the north, covering an area of 28,000 square kilometers, most of which are distributed in northern Shaanxi. Among them, except Dingbian County, other 1 1 counties are located in Yulin, and the remaining observation stations are scattered in Zichang County of Yan 'an City and Zhungeer Banner and Yijinhuoluo Banner of Erdos City, Inner Mongolia.
"Paradise on Earth" was built for Meng Tian.
According to textual research, the "Heaven on Earth" observatory group was a major project built by Meng Tian, the general of Qin Shihuang, when he was stationed, and it took six years to complete. The overall outline of the site is a goddess filling the sky, with Nuwa's head in the north and her feet in the south. Its "height" is about 809 Qin Li (337 kilometers), and its "body width" is about 365 Qin Li (152 kilometers). The unit array of "height" and "body width" is combined into the ninth five-year plan. Nu Wa's "paradise on earth" is divided into nine layers from bottom to top, each layer has its own name, and each layer contains different stars or stars, which proves the legend of "there are nine layers in heaven" in ancient times and shows that the theory of "covering the sky" was still dominant at that time.
The Observatory is used for stargazing, star worship and astrology.
Relevant archaeologists from Yuyang District Ancient Road Research Institute and Cultural and Sports Bureau, who are in charge of the study of the All-Star Station of the Qin Empire, introduced that they used aerial survey maps, referred to the all-sky map of later generations and the "Kaiyuan Shijing" written by Qu Tansida in the Tang Dynasty, and found that some important star stations once had image observation stations, and there were star sacrificial platforms nearby, and ritual vessels such as pottery and bronze ware were placed or buried. Investigation shows that during the Qin Empire, there were also star platforms in counties, military cities, pavilions, the Great Wall, roads and Ganquan Palace at the southern end of Qin Zhi Road. At that time, the rulers predicted military events by watching stars, offering sacrifices to stars and astrology. Ordinary people also hope to understand social changes or their own lives by observing astronomical phenomena. This custom is still popular in some places in northern Shaanxi.
Chen Meidong, a researcher at the Institute of Natural Science History of China Academy of Social Sciences, believes that Qin Xingtai is another huge and meticulous architectural project after Qin Changcheng and Qin Zhidao, and it should also occupy an important position in the architectural history of China. At the same time, he also pointed out that Yulin area is the intersection of the three, and its significance remains to be explored.
It is understood that the research results also include textual research on various constellations before and after the Qin Empire, and found a large number of celestial bodies corresponding to astronomy.
