Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway starts from Jiangyuan Town, Jianyang, and ends in Longtai Town, Anyue County at the junction of Sichuan and Chongqing. It runs through three other Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway economic zones, such as Sichuan and Chongqing, and intersects with several expressways. Cheng-Zi-Cheng-Yu Expressway is one of the Chengdu rays planned by Sichuan Expressway Network Planning (20 14~2030), with a total length of 1 100 km and a design efficiency of100 km/h.

Chengzi-Chongqing Expressway was really opened to traffic at 24: 00 on February 3, 2020, and social development vehicles can pass free of charge before the trial operation of the whole line, but the deadline for trial operation has not been released at this stage, so the toll standard of Chengzi-Chongqing Expressway has not been announced at this stage. Usually it is half a year, depending on the trial operation and the progress of urban road infrastructure construction.

There are altogether 5 interchanges 15, including 5 interchanges in the core area, namely Jiangyuan (across Jianpu), Shanquan (across Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway), Zhonghe (across Suizi-Meizhou Expressway), Yucheng (across Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway) and He Jiang (across Neisui Expressway).

There are 10 high-speed toll stations, which are connected with Ziyang Dagao Temple, Ziyang Tianshan Mountain, Ziyang Longwen Temple, Ziyang Zixing, Ziyang Danshan, Ziyang Huilong, Lezhi Tonglv, Anyuexi, Anyue Chengbei and Anyue Longtai respectively.

In addition, Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway directly connects Chengdu Tianfu New District and Chongqing Liangjiang New District, connects the existing three Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway economic belts of Sichuan-Chongqing, Chengdu-Chongqing and Chengdu-Guangzhou-Chongqing, quickly connects Chengdu Third Ring Road, Suizimei and Neisui, and conveniently and quickly connects Chengdu Plain Economic Development Zone and Longchang Economic Development Zone.
