Overview of purple jadeite

Purple was called imperial color in ancient China. From Wei Zi to the Forbidden City, from Laozi's purple gas to the purple ribbon, all show the sacred and noble status of purple. Real high-quality purple jade is not as good as green jade. Purple jadeite will appear purple when viewed in general yellow light, so it is best to watch it in the natural light of standard sunny days when purchasing and collecting. However, jadeite with fine texture, high transparency and deep purple is hard to find, and it is especially influenced by Europeans and Americans.
